The Project

The Story

While a noisy, distracting environment was hindering productivity at Klipspringer, their limited 2,500 sq/ft office prevented the company from hiring more staff. Meanwhile, their 1,000 sq/ft labs had reached their processing limit, with no room for expansion. With these challenges in-mind, Klipspringer required a full office relocation and fit-out with minimal disruption to their day-to-day business. Zentura was pleased to deliver on that vision.

The journey began with extensive planning meetings, where teams collaborated using Zentura’s analysis to conceptualise and begin planning an office layout. Planning was based around Klipspringer’s new site, located at Foxtail House in Ipswich, comprising a 10,000 sq/ft office, a 2,500 sq/ft lab, and a 27,000 sq/ft warehouse. The space required extensive refurbishment before it could meet their requirements.

The design phase involved creating an on-brand, high-quality concept that aligned with Klipspringer’s vision. Zentura handled everything from spatial planning and design consultancy, ensuring that every detail would be executed seamlessly. That included managing the shortlisting of contractors, as well as the quoting and selection process. Once this was completed, Zentura coordinated all approvals, from building control to fire authority.

The project was a comprehensive undertaking, beginning with strip-out works and the installation of two mezzanines, adding more space and making better use of available footprint. This was followed by the installation of new partitioning (including a jumbo wall between the offices and warehouse) and utilities work, including power, data, lighting, fire alarms and HVAC installation.

External works commenced, comprising the installation of new windows and doors, as well as a new facade for Klipspringer’s office space. Meanwhile, joinery work included the installation of bespoke elements such as tea points, a coffee bar, and branded signage, bringing a personalised touch to the space and reflecting Klipspringer's collaborative brand identity. This was further enhanced with full decoration of the space, with branded signage installed internally and externally.

The laboratory facilities were also designed with precision, incorporating bench and storage areas as well as an extraction system. Flooring was finished with carpet and vinyl throughout all areas, with Zentura completing the installation of furniture including storage walls and all canteen and office furniture.

A key challenge was in ensuring the relocation and fit out process did not disrupt Klipspringer’s day-to-day operations. This was guaranteed throughout each stage of this project, with our client kept in regular communication through weekly site reports and video tours.

Klipspringer were now ready to settle into a new HQ that was modern, on-brand and seamlessly aligned with their core values and culture. The result? Space for genuine growth, now and into the future.
