Due to hybrid working, Campbell Lutyens’s Mayfair office no longer suited their needs. Continued headcount expansion had also caused overcrowding. Their people needed an environment that enabled collaboration and further expansion. As a company, they needed a collaborative and flexible solution that enabled both short and long-term growth.

The Story
Campbell Lutyens & Co are a leading global and independent private markets advisor. They provide fund placement and capital advisory services to leading investors globally. Over the past 35 years, Campbell Lutyens has grown to be the largest independent advisory firm of its type, providing global expertise with local knowledge and relationships.
Our design team analysed how Campbell Lutyens’s office could be best designed to suit their company objectives. We then created a variety of design concepts to get feedback from their staff on which would work best. We also helped negotiate a short-term lease on another floor in their existing building to enable short-term growth. The final design package brought Campbell Lutyens’s vision to life. The concept created an open layout that prevented siloed working and enabled collaboration. The finishes package modernised the office to bring it in line with their evolved brand. Our delivery team completed this 10,000 sq/ft office refurbishment and expansion in just 7 weeks. To minimise disruption, the works were carried out in two phases. First, the new fourth floor was fitted out, followed by the second floor refurbishment. This allowed all Campbell Lutyens staff to continue working with minimal disruption. The finished result is a space that boosts the productivity and wellbeing of Campbell Lutyens’s staff. The biophilic and collaborative design matches the way they work. Sit-stand desks and touchdown areas were included throughout the space to promote movement and teamwork for all staff. The additional space on the fourth floor allows a more spacious design and facilitates further staff growth. A furniture-centric design reduced the need for disruptive build-out works and increases the flexibility of the design. The renovated workspace enables growth, encourages collaboration, and promotes wellbeing. Campbell Lutyens have provided their staff with the platform they need to improve company performance.
